How can nurses promote family health, even in busy & acute practice settings?
As nurses, we often see families as the context or background to a particular patient, and our interactions with the family are focused on improvement of the patient’s health. However, families are also our clients, and the health of the family is a nursing concern.
All nurses are family nurses, and all nurses can have a positive impact on family health even if our interactions with family are very brief. This experiential workshop will use case examples to provide opportunities to learn and practice family nursing interventions.
The workshop can be adapted according to your clinical area, in order to provide real-life application that can be used in your current nursing practice. It can be either a half-day or full-day workshop depending on the needs of your clinical setting.
